Health authorities have decided to stop administering first dose of the Oxford-AstraZenca shots from April 26 onwards.
The decision was taken amid uncertainty over the next Covid-19 vaccine shipment from India.
The Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) of the health department on Sunday issued a notification in this regard.
As of April 23, nearly 5.78 million people have received the first dose of the vaccine, according to official figures.
