The chief advisor of the interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, said that the dictatorship of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has destroyed every institution in the country to stay in power. During the briefing of the diplomats appointed in Dhaka, he said that the judiciary has collapsed.
The chief advisor said that he accepted this responsibility on the request of the students. He paid deep respect to those who made the supreme sacrifice in the recent student movement.
The briefing started at Hotel Intercontinental around 1pm on Sunday. Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam will hold a press conference soon. This is the first briefing of the Chief Adviser to the diplomats posted in Dhaka after the formation of the interim government.
