The mild heat wave that has been sweeping through parts of Bangladesh for the past few days could last for another four or five days, according to the Bangladesh Metrological Department (BMD).
“The heat wave may last for another four to five days,” BMD assistant meteorologist Afroza Sultana told reporters.
Meanwhile, the districts of Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal, as well as the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Rangamati, Chandpur, Maizdi Court, and Feni, are experiencing a heat wave.
Rain or thunder showers with gusty or squally wind are likely to occur in a few places over Sylhet division, as well as one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh districts, as well as the Cumilla area, according to a Met office forecast.
It is possible that the weather will stay dry elsewhere in the country beginning about 9 am on Monday and lasting for 24 hours, according to the forecast.
Furthermore, temperatures may rise marginally across the country during the day and night.
