Hefazat-e-Islam chief Junaid Babunagri died at a hospital in Chattogram on Thursday. He was 68.
Maulana ANM Ahmed Ullah, former publicity secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam,said Babunagari had suffered a stroke at Hathazari Madrasha around 11 am and later he was taken to CSCR Hospital in the port city where doctors declared him dead around 12:30 pm.
Babunagari had been suffering from different old age complications including kidney problem and diabetes.
