A joint force in a drive recovered one pistol and six bullets from Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Ukhiya Upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday night.
The joint force consisting of the Army of Ukhiya army camp and Armed Police Battalion conducted this drive at the camp and recovered the arms and ammunitions, an intelligence official said.
Seeking anonymity, the official further said that head majhi of the camp Abdul Goni went into hiding.
The arms and bullets were handed over to the police and a case was filed in this connection.
The drives of the joint force will continue to maintain discipline at the Rohingya camps.
