Information Fair-2024 has been organized at Domar, Nilphamari on the occasion of International Right to Information Day.
The theme of the day is integration of right to information in the mainstream of the state and ensuring participation of public sector.
The fair was organized by the Manav Kalyan Parishad (MKP) under the project titled Tarun Samaj to strengthen women’s rights and inclusive governance with support from the Netz Bangladesh and BMZ.
On Saturday morning, a colourful march was brought out from Domar Upazila Parishad square which went through the main main road of the town and ended again at Upazila Parishad square.
Later, Upazila Executive Officer Nazmul Alam inaugurated the fair by cutting a ribbon and visited various stalls.
A discussion meeting was also held with the students of various educational institutions in the fair.
Human Welfare Council Director Catherine Azam, Upazila Academic Supervisor Shafiul Islam, Statistics Department Investigator Abdul Bari and Area Coordinator Yachin Ali spoke on the occasion. Gaurav Kumar Das, Field Facilitator of Manav Kalyan Parishad conducted the program.
Prizes were given to the ten winners who participated in the quiz competition and a play on Right to Information was also staged.
