Int’l tourism fair begins Sonargaon Hotel

The three-day international tourism fair titled ‘US-Bangla Airlines Dhaka Travel Marrt 2025’ begins in Dhaka at the Ball Room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. The 20th edition of the popular tourism fair is organized by the Bangladesh Monitor. Mohd. Shuhada Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh, formally inaugurated the fair.

The inaugural ceremony was also addressed by Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor of the Bangladesh Monitor; HE Mohd Shuhada Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh, as the guest of honor; S M Lablur Rahman, Member- Finance, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh; as the special guests.

Mohammad Shamsul Karim, General Manager (Sales) Biman Bangladesh Airlines; Kamrul Islam, General Manager (PR) of US-Bangla Airlines; Md. Shafquat Hossain, Deputy Managing Director of Mutual Trust Bank Hasnain Rafiq, Chief Operating Officer of Firsttrip; spoke on the occasion, among others.

Over fifty organizations from the UAE, Iran, Maldives, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Jordan, India, and Bangladesh, which will host the three-day fair are showcasing their products and services. Participating organizations represent national tourism organizations, airlines, travel agencies, hotels and resorts, tour operators, financial institutions, and others involved in travel and tourism.

Participating organizations have announced special offers for the visitors. Biman Bangladesh Airlines is offering 15 percent discounts on airfare for travel to 10 destinations in their international network. Online travel agency Firsttrip is offering one free air ticket against purchase of one to any domestic destination on US-Bangla Airlines and Air Astra. Other participants are also offering discounts on air tickets, tour packages, hotel and resort rooms, etc.

Leading private sector carrier US-Bangla Airlines is supporting the event as the title sponsor. The tourism fair is powered by the leading online travel agency Firsttrip and travel company Akij Air. The national carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Mutual Trust Bank have joined as the airline partner and banking partner respectively.

US-Bangla Airlines Dhaka Travel Mart 2025 will end on 8 February. One can visit the fair on payment of Tk. 50 as entry fee from 10am to 8pm every day. Visitors will have the opportunity to win 45 exciting prizes from raffle draw on entry tickets. Raffle prizes include return air tickets to domestic and international destinations, accommodation at international hotels and resorts at home and abroad, lunch and dinner at star hotels in the country.
