The 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) has approved two percent cash dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2024.
It was 2.5 percent cash and 2.5 percent stock in the fiscal year 2022-2023.
The meeting was held on Saturday through a virtual platform, said a press release.
Prof Abu Ahmed, chairman of the Board of Directors of the ICB, presided over the meeting.
In the meeting, the shareholders were informed about various aspects of the annual report and audited accounts of the corporation for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
In the FY 2023-2024, the ICB earned solo and consolidated (with subsidiaries) net profit of Tk20.85 crore and Tk32.68 crore respectively.
During the period under review, the corporation made an aggregated investment of Tk2,335.53 crore in the capital market and recovered an amount of Tk951.78 crore as dividend, margin loans, project loans and other loans.
The total transaction of the ICB and its subsidiary companies in both the bourses was Tk13,079.39 crore, which is 27.76 percent less than that of Tk18,105.36 crore in the previous year.
