ISHO partners with Green Savers Association

ISHO and Green Savers Association have partnered to make a combined effort to help restore a dialogue between the built world and ecology and educate people about their responsibility towards the environment, said a press release.

This partnership will see ISHO donate a significant number of bird feeders to Green Savers Association who in-turn will distribute these to various stakeholders in the community who look after birds, said the release.

To celebrate this year’s World Environment Day, ISHO has taken an initiative of making a ‘Limited Edition’ Bird Feeder that is made entirely out of recycled wood.  ISHO plans to make a total of 50 limited edition bird feeders, where half of which will be made from recycled Mahogany and remaining from recycled White Ash Wood.

Both ISHO and Green Savers Association, recognize the need to make an impactful contribution to ensure birds in the city are safe and looked after. According to recent studies, around 700 species of birds in Bangladesh are struggling to survive except for approximately 40 species that live close to humans. It is understood that human intervention on natural resources is one of the leading causes behind the possible extinction of birds along with deforestation.

Ahsan Rony, Founder & CEO of GSA, said, “We are delighted that a brand like ISHO has taken this initiative and leading the way in not only manufacturing their bird feeders out of recycled wood but donating these bird feeders to the community at large via us. Our previous projects where we have made long lasting impact enables us to know exactly what is required to ensure we don’t take our surroundings for granted. We need to collectively come together to protect our birds and this initiative will go a long way to help.”

Rohan Srinivasan, Marketing Head of ISHO Limited said, “At ISHO we are passionate about sustainability and we’re pleased to partner with Green Savers Association. This is our way of restoring a dialogue between the built world and our ecology and our aim is that our bird feeders,at the minimum, give all birds a regular place to be fed and also have a calm sanctuary to rest in – whether this is in our parks or at homes. This is our way of ensuring we don’t forget about our surroundings and responsibilities to ensure we heed World Environment Day’s theme of Generation Restoration and the importance of it for future generations.”
