IU appoints 2 new directors

The authorities of Islamic University on Saturday appointed two new directors at the Central Lab and the International Student Affairs Cell administration.

Newly appointed two directors are Prof Md Jahidul Islam from the Department of Information and Communication Technology and Prof Mohammad Oli Ullah from the Department of Da’wah and Islamic Studies. They both will serve as directors for the next year.

The appointments were confirmed through separate office orders issued by Acting Registrar HM Ali Hasan.

Vice Chancellor Prof Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah appointed them to the positions.

They will receive benefits according to university policy for taking on additional administrative responsibilities.

Mention that three new directors on Wednesday at Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), ICT cell and press administration respectively.

Professor Dr Muhammad Nazimuddin of Al-fiqh and Legal Studies department, Professor Dr Shahjahan Ali of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department, and Professor Dr AKM Mafizul Islam of Arabic Language and Literature department newly appointed directors of these offices.

Three office orders were issued separately signed by acting registrar HM Ali Hasan, in this regard.

IU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah appointed them to the post. Professor Dr Muhammad Nazimuddin will perform as the director to the post until further notice, the press release also mentioned it. Prof Dr Shahjahan Ali and Professor Dr AKM Mafizul Islam will perform to the post for the next year.
