“RaushanErshad is our chief patron. If she wants to contest the election, we’ll lend our support to her. We’ll give her a nomination form whenever she sends her representative to us,” he said.

He said that they want a congenial atmosphere for a free, fair and neutral election.

“The Election Commission and the government have assured us that the election will be fair. They said they will keep the election environment fair at any cost,” he said.

The JaPa secretary general further said that they will run for the election with its own election symbol ‘plough’ in all 300 constituencies.

RaushanErshad currently holds the position of Leader of the Opposition in the National Parliament, while her son, SaadErshad, serves as a Member of Parliament for Rangpur-3 Constituency. Nomination forms have also been acquired for party chairman GM Quader in this constituency, with party leaders indicating his interest in contesting in the Rangpur-3 seat.
