Police have arrested a Juba League leader in connection with a case filed over the death of Emon, who was shot dead during the anti-discrimination student movement in the city’s Mirpur-10 on August 4.
The arrested was identified as Sheikh Mohammad Wasim, law secretary of Pallabi Thana unit of Juba League.
Police arrested Wasim from the Pallabi area on Thursday night in connection with Emon murder case, said a press release.
During the investigation into the case, it was found in several videos that Wasim was shooting at protesters in front of Popular Diagnostic Centre in Mirpur-10.
He was placed before the court.
