KA Design Wear opens 100-kilowatt solar power project

KA Design Wear Limited inaugurated a 100-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar power project on its factory rooftop inGazipur’sTongi in technical collaboration with Co-Trust Tech Limited on Tuesday.

The project would reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 120 tonnes per year and save significant amount of electricity bills of the company, said a press release.

At the programme, MdZiauddinBablu, chairman of KA Design Wear Limited, said, “We should further increase the use of renewable energy in the industrial sector. This solar project will not only reduce electricity costs but also play a role in protecting the environment by reducing carbon emissions.”

MdAkhtarHossain,managing director, andMdRafiqul Islam, director, of KA Design Wear Limited appreciated Co-Trust Tech Limited’s efforts in the successful implementation of the project.

Syed ShafiqulHasan, managing director of Co-Trust Tech Limited, said, “Solar energy is a sustainable and profitable solution for industrial enterprises. Through this project, we have been able to demonstrate that renewable energy can contribute equally to the productivity of the industrial sector and the balance of the environment.”

Co-Trust Tech Limited has been working for a long time in various infrastructure development projects, including solar systems, lithium-ion batteries, solar pumps, sub-stations, LPS, IPS, and UPS.
