Professor Dr. Md. Kabirul Islam, Professor of Paediatric Surgery , Dhaka Community Medical College Hospital and Ex. Chairman, Peadiatric Surgery Departmental and Head of Neonatal Surgery Department , Dhaka Shishu Hospital, has been awarded with the “Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman Best Pediatric Surgeon Gold Medal” in 2022.
This award is named after Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman , the founder of the APSB, a freedom fighter and Ekushey Padak recipient , the Chairman of A-PAD, founder of Pabna Community Hospital and the chairman of Dhaka Community Hospital Trust. It is awarded to the best pediatric surgeon by APSB every year.
Association of Pediatric Surgeon of Bangladesh awarded this Gold medal in its 9th annual conference held at Royal Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa Ltd. Cox’s Bazar on 11-12 March, 2022.
The Gold medal was handed over to Professor Dr. Md. Kabirul Islam by Quazi Quamruzzaman in the conference. The programme was presided over by Professor Abdul Aziz, MP.
