Shamim Kabir, District Awami League General Secretary and Zila Parishad Chairman Pankaj Kumar Kundu, Govt Hossain Shaheed Sorawardi College Principal Professor Rizvi Zaman, District Freedom Fighters Command Unit Deputy Commander Abdur Rahman along with District Freedom Fighters Sangsad, District Awami League and its organs. Organizations various public and private institutions, various educational institutions and socio-cultural associations hoisted the national flag and the flag of the Freedom Fighters Command Council along with the national anthem at the same place.

It should be noted that on this day in 1971, Magura was liberated from the Pakistani invaders in the Great War of Liberation. The Sarbadliya Sangram Parishad played a leading role in building a comprehensive resistance system against the Pak forces in Magura at that time.
