The ‘Mahurat’ (inauguration ceremony) of the exceptional psychological feature film ‘Monolok’ was held at the Lamda Hall of Gulshan Club in the capital on Wednesday, said a press release.
Noted cultural personality and former Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Shahid Rayhan is the director of the film; he also has written the script of the movie while Hafiz Alam Bakhsh is producing it.
The narrative of the film ‘Monolok’ is a sensitive attempt to portray the political situation and philosophical thought process about Bangladesh’s independence and its opposition and a fictional analysis of unrevealed thoughts and dialogues of some important people, which may also change the established familiar notions on the matter.
Popular actors Fazlur Rahman Babu, Nipun, Deepa Khandakar, Samu Chowdhury, MA Bari, AK Azad Setu, Jayita Mahalanobish, Niaz Tarek, Masud Mohiuddin, Ashraful Ashish, Aryan and others will be seen acting in the film.
Other members of the ‘Monolok’ team–Chief Cinematographer: Sahil Rony, Costume Designer, Prithi Moni, Art Direction: Rahmat Ullah Basu, Makeup: Mohammad Ali Babul and Shooting Studio: Nine and Half.
