A man was hacked to death by his neighbour in Sylhet’s Biswanath upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was Delwar Hossain, 35.
Two people were arrested in this regard, said Ramaprasad Chakraborty, officer-in-charge of Biswanath Police Station.
Quoting locals, he said an altercation broke out between the members of Delwar’s family and his neighbouring house.
The altercation broke out after a family accused Delwar and his family of stealing their lost chicklings. At one stage, Delwar was attacked with a sharp weapon, he said.
He was rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital, where the duty doctor declared him dead.
Later, his brother filed a case in this regard
