A police team arrested an alleged top-listed drug peddler with 79 kilograms of Cannabis from Nakelbaria area in the metropolis on Monday night.
The arrested person is identified as Arman Hossain, 40, son of late Abdul Gafur of Ulurchar (Noapara) village under Sadar South Police Station in Comilla district.
On a tip-off, a police team conducted a sudden raid in the area and nabbed him and seized the huge Cannabis from his possession around 10.30 pm.
Later, the arrested person along with the seized contraband goods were handed over to the police after filing a case with Chandrima Police Station in this connection.
