Mild cold wave sweeps over country’s most northern parts

Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Kisoregonj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Panchagarh and Kurigram and it may continue, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours from 9am today.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to tomorrow morning and it may continue till noon at some places.

Night temperature may fall slightly over North-Northeastern part and it may rise slightly elsewhere over the country. Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 28.0 degree Celsius at Sitakunda while the lower temperature today was 09.5 degree Celsius jointly at Rajshahi, Ishurdi and Badalgachi.

Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.

The sun sets at 05:37 PM today and rises at 06:42 AM tomorrow in the capital.
