A mild heat wave is sweeping over the Khulna division including the regions of Dhaka, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Rangamati, Feni, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Dinajpur and Khepupara.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country as it may continue, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the region of Cumilla with hails at isolated places, BMD said in a regular bulletin.
About the synoptic situation, the Met office said a trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and the adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
