Mobile internet returns after 10 days

Mobile internet services have returned to the country after a ten-day disruption during violent protests over reforms to government job quotas.

Earlier on Sunday morning, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, said the internet would likely be restored across the country around 3:00 pm.

The state minister said, “Due to the recent disruption of mobile internet connections, all mobile internet users will receive a 5 GB bonus data for three days once the service is restored. The offer will be applicable for users of all operators.”
