Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has said that the freedom earned through the sacrifices of students and the people will not be allowed to fail.
“There will be no compromise on national unity for the betterment of the country,” he said.
Speaking at a programme in Jashore on Wednesday evening, Dr. Rahman said, “The nation that will be built through the collective efforts of both the older and younger generations will rise to prominence on the world stage.”
“Those who sacrificed their lives in the July Uprising, as well as those still with us, will forever remain in our hearts. We are united in our commitment to honor the martyrs’ sacrifice,” he further said.
“The Awami League failed to bring peace to the country and continues to conspire against it even after being removed from power. They have embezzled Tk 26 lakh crore and destroyed the banking system,” he said.
However, the future of Bangladesh will be shaped by the youth. “We aim to build a humane Bangladesh where justice will prevail for all,” he added.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Golam Rasul, District Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Professor Mia Golam Parwar, the party’s Secretary General, was a special guest at the event.
