Photo story exhibition and book launch based on Rabindranath’s ‘Shesher Kavita’

A photo story based on the last poem of Rabindranath Tagore’s famous poetic novel. Parambrata Chattopadhyay, a famous actor from Upper Bengal, is playing the main character of this research style, opposite to him is Dr. Shreya Sen from Bangladesh.

Along with this photo story, Upper Bengal actor Shaswat Dutt is also present. Architect Fawzia Jahan is the head and photographer of this photostory project built with the grant of the Ministry of Culture and with the cooperation of City Bank and CF Zaman is involved as the creative director. Designed to make the present generation literate, this photo story presents the entire novel through several still images.

Today, 14 Ashad 1431, 28 June 2014, Friday at 6 pm, the architecture was opened to the public with an exhibition and book launch. Social Welfare Minister Dr. Dipu Moni was present as the chief guest at the function organized at the Chitrashala Auditorium of the National Arts Academy. In his speech, the chief guest applauded the creative expression of this new thought and hoped that more new works would be initiated through it. Arma Dutta, Member of Parliament, Reserved Women Constituency (340)-Comilla, Bangladesh National Parliament, Rajeev Kumar Government, Deputy Secretary (Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (Branch-7), Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Associate Professor, Department of Music, Jagannath University) were present as special guests. Rabindrasangeet Dr. Anima Roy, member of the Bangladesh Awami League’s sub-committee and chief organizer of the Garbini Maa Sammanna, said that the youth should not only focus on social media, but also engage in such cultural activities Call for the acquisition of basic knowledge through work and the mainstreaming of literary culture.

The ceremony was presided over by Ferdous Ahmed, a renowned actor from Bengal and Member of Parliament of Dhaka-10 Constituency.

Commenting on this work, Parambrata said, “Many art forms have been worked on till date, but this is the first such aesthetic work on stills. Hope everyone likes it.

Dr. Shreya said, “I am a doctor by profession, currently doing MD in forensic medicine. I have been associated with various cultural works since my childhood, especially I have recited and translated many works of Ravi Tagore and Nazrul. I have done some work on Rabindranath Tagore before, so this photo story I agreed as soon as the offer came, I hope the audience will like this work.

Everyone associated with the project expressed hope that this photo story will play a significant role in bringing back the lost reading habit of people.

Music director of this event was eminent music personality Fawad Nasser Babu and host was Nandit presenter and producer Debashish Biswas and channel i was the media partner of this event.
