A preparatory meeting was held in Brahmanbaria to observe various state programs including the Independence Day.
This meeting was held at the District Commissioner’s office on Tuesday afternoon organized by the district administration. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman presided over it.
Deputy Director of Local Government Department Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer MM Mahmudur Rahman, Municipal Chief Executive Officer Md Abdul Quddus, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Saiful Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasmine Sultana, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Iqbal Hossain, representatives of various government departments, brave freedom fighters and leaders of various social and cultural organizations.
Various programs were taken up in the meeting to celebrate the historic March 7, Bangabandhu’s birthday and National Children’s Day on March 17, Genocide Day on March 25 and Independence Day on March 26. Among the programs there are various programs to celebrate the days with due dignity including wreath laying at Shahid Smriti Soudh, discussion meeting, wreath laying at Bangabandhu’s portrait.
