A newly nominated member of the elected presidium council of Bangladesh Awami League, AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Mayor, Rajshahi City Corporation, paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi No. 32, by laying wreaths on his portrait on Sunday, said a press release.
Prayers were made to ask forgiveness of the souls of Father of the Nation, and all martyred members of his family, including four national leaders after the wreath-laying.
SM Kamal Hossain, Organizing Secretary, Bangladesh Awami League; Nurul Islam Thandu and Akhter Jahan, Executive Members; Shahriar Alam, MP, State Minister, Foreign Affairs; Engineer Enamul Haque, MP, Rajshahi-4 (Bagmara) constituency; Professor Dr. Mansur Rahman, MP, Rajshahi-5 (Puthia-Durgapur) constituency; Adiba Anjum Mita, MP, Rajshahi Reserved Women’s Seat, other leaders of Awami League and allied organizations were also present there.
After his visit at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32, AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, paid a visit to Banani Cemetery to show his respects by laying wreaths at the graves of the martyred members of the family of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and three national leaders.
