Professor Ashraful Islam, retired vice-principal of Tejgaon College, died this afternoon due to cardiac failure. He was 77.
Professor Islam is the elder brother of Professor Atiqul Islam, VC of North South University.
During his career, Professor Ashraf held several key leadership positions in reputed educational institutions, including the former Principal of Kumilla Victoria College and the former Principal of Brahmanbaria Government College.
Professor Ashraf obtained both Honours and Masters’s in Economics from the University of Dhaka.
