The country’s biggest cooking reality show, Shera Radhuni: Battle for Culinary Excellence, is back with Season 8. Square Food and Beverage Limited’s popular brand, Radhuni, has returned with its signature show. Registration for the show has officially begun with the slogan, “Spread the taste of your cooking to everyone.”
Shera Radhuni Season 8, a competition to discover the nation’s top culinary talents, will be aired on Maasranga Television. Building on the success and uniqueness of previous seasons, this year’s show promises fresh innovations and thrilling competition.
Audiences can expect exciting episodes featuring intense cooking battles, expert judging, and beautiful visuals. At a press conference held at Sheraton Dhaka on November 5, Mr. Md. Parvez Saiful Islam, Chief Operating Officer of Square Food and Beverage Limited, formally announced the launch of this season’s Shera Radhuni. He was joined on stage by Mr. Imtiaz Firoze, Head of Marketing of the company, Mr. Ajoy Kumar Kundu, CEO of Mediacom Limited and Executive Director of Maasranga Television, and the three esteemed judges: culinary expert Ms. Rahima Sultana Reeta, Chef Nayeem Ashraf, and actor and media personality Ms. Dilara Hanif Purnima. Senior officials from Square Food and Beverage Limited, Mediacom Limited, and Maasranga Television, as well as representatives from major media outlets, attended the event. Mr. Imtiaz Firoze welcomed attendees with a video capturing the journey of the last seven seasons of Shera Radhuni. Following this, Mr. Ajoy Kumar Kundu shared insights into the behind-the-scenes planning of the competition from Mediacom Limited and Maasranga Television’s perspective.
Mr. Md. Parvez Saiful Islam delivered a congratulatory speech, highlighting new elements added to this season to celebrate the talents of Bangladesh’s culinary artists. This year’s competition hints at exciting surprises for viewers and contestants alike. After unveiling the new Shera Radhuni logo and promotional advertisement, the three judges shared their expectations and plans for the season. Mr. Imtiaz Firoze introduced Shera Radhuni’s website: www.sheraradhuni.com, where contestants can register and submit recipes, and later he along with the judges answered questions from journalists. The event was hosted by Ms. Mousumi Mou.
Registration for Shera Radhuni Season 8 opens on November 5, 2024, and will continue until December 5, 2024. Any Bangladeshi individual over the age of 18 is eligible to participate. To enter, contestants must submit their recipe (in a Word file or as a handwritten photo of the recipe), photos of their prepared dish, a personal photo, and other required information on the Shera Radhuni’s website (www.sheraradhuni.com) or by post or courier to: SFBL Tower, Road-27, 11/C, Banani, Dhaka-1213.
The competition will include 11 auditions across various regions of Bangladesh. Contestants who advance from these regional auditions will participate in a grand audition in Dhaka, leading to the studio round. Here, the Shera Radhuni winner will be chosen based on cooking skills, presentation, communication, personality, business acumen, leadership, quick-thinking, and adaptability. The winner will receive a cash prize of 15 lakh taka, while the first and second runners-up will win 10 lakh taka and 5 lakh taka, respectively.
