Advocate Ruhi Shamsad Ara and Dr. Rathindra Nath Sarkar (Robin) have been elected respectably the president and general secretary of Bangladesh Journalism Alumni Association (PIBJA), a press release said Sunday.
The election was held on June 2 at the National Press Club from 9 am to 5 pm. Ruhi got 159 votes for the post of president while her rival former Begum Rokeya University VC Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah got 53 votes.
