Sanitation workers of Satkhira municipal assembly held protest program with garbage truck demanding due salary. On Wednesday morning, they collected garbage from different dustbins in the city and reported it to the municipality.
At this time, the workers said, we work for a small salary. Even then, if the salary is stopped for two months, then how can we continue in the market with increased prices of goods. They also said that they will continue this program until the salary is paid.
Mahabub, General Secretary of Satkhira Municipal Sweeper Union, Nuzrul, Vice President of Sweeper Union, members Ganesh, Tarikul and other workers were present at the time.
