Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited recently distributed 100 pieces of Paddle Sewing Machines with motor set among the helpless and distressed women in Kalapara and Rangabaliupazilas of Patuakhali district as part of its CSR activities.
It also provided financial assistance to 48 people of various professions for their self-employment. Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation has provided this financial assistance to the distressed people.
The Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. and Chairman of Risk Management Committee Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman handed over the sewing machines and cheques.
The Member of Parliament of Patuakhali-4 Md. Mohibbur Rahman Muhib was present as special guest on the occasion.
Two ceremonies were held at Alhajj Jalal Uddin Degree College premises and Kalapara for the purpose.
Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. Md. Moshiur Rahman Chamak, Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman, the Principal of Alhajj Jalal Uddin Degree College Mrs. Fatema Akter Rekha, the Branch Manager of Khepupara Branch of the Bank Md. Tariqul Islam Hiron, the local businessman Mushfiqur Rahman and other local prominent people were also present.
