The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams for 2025 will begin after the end of Ramadan and are expected to commence in April next year.
Prof Tapan Kumar Sarker, chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and head of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed this on Monday, saying that the SSC and equivalent exams would be held after Ramadan concludes.
According to education board sources, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams for 2025 have been scheduled approximately two months after the SSC exams.
The education board announced that next year’s SSC and equivalent exams will cover the complete syllabus with full marks. However, a decision is yet to be made regarding whether the HSC exams will follow the full syllabus or a curtailed one.
Sources indicate that Eid-ul-Fitr in 2025 is likely to fall at the end of March or early April, depending on the sighting of the moon. The exams will be held after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday concludes.
Generally, the exam schedule is released 15 days in advance, so the SSC and equivalent exams are anticipated to start in mid to late April.
