Syed Tohuruddin Ahmed (76) known as Mia Shaheb from Raipur, Sirajganj district breathed his last on the morning of October 17, 2023 (Inna Lillahe wa inna ilaihe rajeun). His Namaz e Janaza took place at Raipur Eidgah ground in Sirajganj, followed by burial at Raipur Graveyard, Sirajganj, in the afternoon of the same day.
He worked at Quami Jute Mills, Sirajganj till 2004. He was also running different charitable organizations & and educational institutions at Sirajganj.
A Dua Mahfil will be held at Sirajganj on October 20, 2023. Syed Tohuruddin Ahmed has left behind his wife, 3 sons, 2 daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law & and grandchildren. Notably, he was the beloved Father-in-Law of Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard Bangladesh, and Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Bangladesh.
