A day long training programme on plantation planning, collection and storage of medicinal plants was held at Narshingdi on May 7, said a press release.
The programme was jointly organized by Bangladesh Herbal Products Manufacturing Association (BHPMA) and Medicinal Plants and Herbal Products Business Promotion Council (MPHPBPC) under a commerce ministry wing.
Md. Abdur Rahim Khan, additional secretary to the commerce ministry and co-ordinator of BPC was present as chief guest while Dr. Anowar Mustaq co-ordinator of BHMPA presided over the workshop. Brigadier General Retd. Khandakar Farhad Hossain, director (admin), Modern Herbal Group, Dr. KM Shamimul Hasan, former assistant professor of Govt. Unani Collage, Abul Hossain, deputy director of youth and sports department and Mahmud Hossain, assistant director of drug administration department were also present as special guests.
