Three people, including two women, were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a cement-laden truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Banshkhali Upazila of Chattorgram on Monday morning.
The identities of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.
The accident took place in the Bailgaon area of Sadhanpur Union at 11:00 am.
Banshkhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saiduzzaman Chowdhury and police officials visited the spot after receiving the news.
