Vivo and SOS Children’s Villages jointly host ‘Capture’

vivo Bangladesh, in collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages Bangladesh, has successfully hosted the second edition of the three-year-long corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Capture the Future – 2025’. The winter camp for this year was held in Khulna as part of the project launched in 2024.

The primary objective of this initiative is to inspire creativity and imagination among children by teaching them modern photography and videography techniques while encouraging them to dream and capture those dreams through their lenses.

This year’s activities commenced with a two-day training workshop on January 7 and 8. Young representatives from different parts of Bangladesh participated in the winter camp, where they used vivo smartphones to capture images of historical landmarks in Khulna and Bagerhat.

The program concluded on January 9 with a grand closing ceremony featuring an exhibition of selected photos taken by the children. A “memory lane” was also showcased, presenting photographs from last year’s edition, which captivated the audience. Additionally, a traditional pitha festival was organized.

The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Additional District Commissioner of Khulna (Education and ICT), Sadia Afrin, as the Chief Guest. Other officials from vivo Bangladesh & Pathshala Institute were also among the attendees.

Expressing her thoughts, chief guest Sadia Afrin said, “I am truly impressed by the creativity of these children. Preparing them for the future by equipping them with technical skills is a goal we must all work towards. My heartfelt thanks to vivo Bangladesh for organizing such an initiative.”

Tanzib Ahamed, Country Brand Manager of vivo Bangladesh, remarked, “The goal of the ‘Capture the Future – 2025’ project is to ignite creativity in children and foster their imagination through photography. vivo firmly believes that technology is a driving force for progress.”

Tanvir Murad Topu, Head of the Photography Department at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and the program’s trainer, added, “I believe this workshop

will help preserve our heritage and pass it on to the next generation. With technological advancements, the youth will tell their own stories.”
