Blood donation is one of the great deeds. Voluntary blood donors are bigger relatives than relatives.
“If you want to be a real person, you must participate in activities such as blood donation on a regular basis,” Pijush Bandyopadhyay, CEO of Ekushey Television, said at the awarding ceremony of voluntary blood donors organized by Quantum Foundation on March 22, 2022 as the chief guest.
The award ceremony was held at the auditorium of the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) at Kakrail in the capital where Quantum honoured more than three hundred voluntary blood donors who have donated blood at least 3, 10, 25 or 50 times. Certificates, special identity cards and crests of honor were handed over to voluntary blood donors.
Pijush Bandyopadhyay congratulated the voluntary blood donors, saying that being able to take such a pledge as blood donation is the true human religion. He also urged the younger generation to step forward to meet the country’s blood requirement.
On the event, Sajid Rahman spoke on behalf of the blood donors. A Thalassaemia patient, Faiza Mostafa, revealed her feelings about monthly blood transfusions.
