National Citizen Party’s chief organiser (North) SarjisAlam on Monday urged the people to vote in the next election the candidates who keep their promises.
He was speaking at a rally at BijoyEkattorChattor in Debiganj under Panchagarh district.
“Don’t cast your vote seeing the name of any party and symbol. Vote for those who act keeping their words and work accordingly. The country will march forward if people work selflessly,” he said.
Sarjis said his party will build resistance against repression, oppression, extortion, and syndicate existing in the system of Bangladesh. He alleged that leaders of the political parties had been using general people for long.
Urging people not to take any money from the candidates, he said those who offer money will not work for you. So refrain from taking money.
Earlier in the morning, Sarjis flew to Saidpur Airport in Nilphamari from where he drove to Debiganj in a motorcade of over a hundred vehicles.
He is scheduled to attend an Iftar event at his village in Atwariupazila.
