Some 285 leaders-activists of BNP and its associate bodies were arrested in the last 24 hours, the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi claimed.
He claimed this in a virtual press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Rizvi said around 1,395 BNP leaders and activists were accused in 15 cases and 65 others were injured in attacks by law enforcers and ruling party men during the period.
As many as 29,760 BNP men were accused in 265 lawsuits to date since the announcement of the 12th national election’s schedule on November 15, he said, adding that seven others died during the period.
