AL’s seat sharing with 14-party by tomorrow

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the seat sharing with the 14-party alliance will be finalized today or tomorrow.

Obaidul Quader came up with the information at a press conference held at the Awami League president’s political office in Dhanmondi in the capital on Tuesday.

He said, “Our meeting with the 14-party alliance is focused more on political aspects than seat sharing. We emphasise the political significance, and our discussions with the 14-party alliance often revolve around political matters. We had a meeting yesterday as well, and the focus was primarily on political discussions.”

Obaidul Quader said, “The discussions regarding the seat expectations of the 14-party alliance are ongoing. The expectations and the actual allocation of seats will be decided collectively. While some candidates may contest the polls under the boat symbol, others within the alliance might contest under their individual party affiliations and symbols. The final decision on seat distribution will be a collaborative effort among the members of the 14-party alliance.

Awami League Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretary Mahbub Ul Alam Hanif, Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, Mirza Azam, Sujit Roy Nandi, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Deputy Secretary Sayem Khan and others were present at the press conference.
