Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal will address the nation tomorrow evening.
Earlier on November 9, the CEC held a meeting with President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban and shared the president about the Election Commission’s preparation ahead of the 12th parliamentary election.
After the meeting, he told journalists that the schedule of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections will be announced soon as the polls must be held before January 29.
The CEC is scheduled to sit for a meeting with other commissioners around 5pm on Wednesday and later, he may announce the schedule for the upcoming general election during his address to the nation, according to source.
