Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today inaugurated the sale of party nomination forms for the 12th National Parliament elections and she herself collected the forms.
Awami League president inaugurated the sale of nomination papers at the party’s central office at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue in the city this morning.
Awami League Advisory Council member Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed collected the nomination form on behalf of Sheikh Hasina to participate in the election in Gopalganj-3 constituency.
Gopalganj District Awami League President Mahmud Ali Khan and General Secretary BM Sahab Uddin Azam were present.
10 booths for eight divisions have been set up at the party’s central office for the sale of nomination forms among the candidates for the parliamentary elections to be held on January 7.
Party candidates can collect and submit nomination papers from 18 November 10 am to 4 pm daily on 21 November.
Those interested can collect and submit the application form from the specific booth set up at the Bangabandhu Avenue central office of the capital for party nomination.
Candidates of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong division nomination forms are being distributed from the second floor of the party office and candidates of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions have to collect the nomination form from the third floor of the office.
Nomination papers of all categories will be accepted on the ground floor of the central office.
A-League nomination aspirants can collect and submit their application form themselves or through candidate’s representative without additional gathering at the party office.
A candidate should bring the photocopy of National Identity Card (NID) while collecting the application form. Mobile number, names of previous three positions and current organizational identity should be clearly mentioned in the photocopy.
Nomination form should be submitted by 4 pm on November 21.
