The sale of nomination papers of AL is stopped due to pressure of activists

The sale of nomination papers of Awami League has been suspended for the second time due to excessive pressure from the candidate and the activists with the candidate.

On Saturday (November 18) around noon, Awami League Deputy Secretary Sayem Khan said that if the party instructions are not followed, the sale of nomination papers will not be started. At this time, the process of selling nomination forms will be suspended until 3:00 pm, said party office secretary Biplab Barua.

Earlier, at around 11 o’clock, Biplab Barua of the party announced the suspension of the sale of nomination papers.

In the morning, Awami League president Sheikh Hasina collected nomination forms to participate in the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections. On his behalf, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, a member of the Advisory Council of Awami League and former president of FBCCI, collected the nomination form for his constituency Gopalganj-3 seat. Among the local leaders present were the Prime Minister’s Development Representative of Gopalganj-3 Constituency Md. Shahidullah Khandkar, Kotalipara Upazila Awami League President Bhabendranath Biswas, Kotalipara Municipality Mayor Matiar Rahman Hazra, former Upazila Chairman Mujibur Rahman Howladar, Awami League Subcommittee on Trade Kamruzzaman Talukdar Chanchal and others.
