Coke Studio Bangla gets season one underway with first song “Nasek Nasek”

Coke Studio Bangla kicks off Season One with the first song titled, “Nasek Nasek”. Since the official launch of this musical platform and the theme song “Ekla Cholo Re”, Coke Studio Bangla released the first song on Facebook Live and YOUTUBE Live Premiere.

The first song, Nasek Nasek was performed by the popular Pantho Kanai and the upcoming musician Animes Roy. The song is the perfect musical fusion that utilizes the versatility of the veteran Pantho Kanai and features the magic of the Hajong Community through the voice of Animes Roy. Shayan Chowdhury Arnob was the music producer for this song.

Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, Music Producer of Coke Studio Bangla said, “I am very excited that we were finally able to share our first song with the people. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed the music that we had so much fun creating. This is only the beginning as we have a great lineup ahead for season one.”

The first song of season one was released via Facebook Live & YouTube Live Premiere. Fans from across the globe could join the session for free. The event started off with Coca-Cola Company’s newest Brand Ambassador, Tahsan Khan greeting the live audience and then taking the audience to a tour of what is happening in the backstage. Soon after, Tahsan drew the curtains on the first song and the people who joined the live enjoyed the song. Afterwards, at the end of the song launch Tahsan came live and interacted with the fans from the comment section. Then there was a fan contest where Tahsan asked 10 questions regarding Coke Studio Bangla and the fastest person to answer won gift from CSB.

Animes Roy who sang the song in his native language comes from the Hajong community of Bangladesh. He expressed his gratitude and said how honorable it was for him to be part of Coke Studio Bangla season 1. He was also happy to be able to bring forth the melodious music of Hajong Community. The Hajong Community is a small group of indigenous people who live in the northeast of Bangladesh. The vibrant group of people live in Netrokona Kalmakanda and Durgapur upazilas of the district and Dhobaura upazila of Mymensingh. A part of the community can be found in Sunamganj, Sylhet as well. Even though the community is small but Hajongs have their own language, cultural traditions, customs, rituals, food and clothing. The singer believes the audiences will enjoy the unique fusion of two languages and appreciate the work Pantho Kanai and he had done.

The live was joined by over 10,000 people across the different social media channels and throughout the session audiences expressed their excitement and appreciation in the comment section.

Coke Studio Bangla is the newest edition of Coca-Cola’s international music property Coke Studio. The widely popular fusion music platform came to Bangladesh with the aim to bring focus on the local music, musicians, industry and the love for Bangla music amongst all the Bangla speaking population across the globe.
