The two-day-long Shah Abdul Karim Folk Utshab (festival) ended at Ujandhal village under DeraiUpazila Sunday.
The Utshab began on March 3 marking the 107th birth anniversary of Shah Abdul Karim.
Shah Abdul Karim Folk Utshab has been celebrated since 2006 at his birthplace where a folk fair is taken place every year on the occasion.
The Utshab highlighted the life and works of Shah Abdul Karim. Deputy Commissioner of Sunamganj Didare Alam Mohammad Maksud Chowdhury, Derai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahmudur Rahman Mamun, Upazila Information Officer Paromita Das and Officer-in-Charge of Derai Thana Kazi Muktadir Hossain spoke at the function presided over by Shah Abdul Karim’s son Shah Noor Jalal.
