The ‘Sample’ image of a government grant made 15 years ago is stuck. It was the second construction of architect and film director Enamul Karim Nirjhar. Before that, this director won praise by making ‘Aha’. After Nirjhar’s first film won the National Award, he got a grant for the experimental film ‘Namuna’. The film is made about the social and political reality of Bangladesh. The director then said that those who are a little young minded will like the film very much.
It is frustrating for the director to have the film stuck on the censor board for a long time after the completion of all the production work. So after a while director Enamul Karim Nirjhar stopped talking about the film.
Talked about the film with Nirjhar yesterday Friday afternoon. He only said in a few words, ‘The picture is still stuck. I will understand the situation and then take a decision. When a real democratic environment comes, I will definitely take an initiative. Apart from this, there is nothing more to say.
It is known that Nirjhar made the film following all the processes of government grants. Then submitted for censor clearance; But for 15 years the clearance of the film is not getting.
