Bangladeshi football fans break Guinness World Record for creating largest online photo album wearing jersey

During the FIFA World Cup last December, some 5,382 Bangladeshi crazy football fans, wearing jersey of their favourite teams, uploaded photos to the website of ‘World Kapano Fans’ in just 48 hours.Using those images, the platform created anonline photo album, which became a Guinness World Record. The country’s largest mobile financial services (MFS) provider bKash and daily prothomalo.comsupported the initiative.

 

The campaign was taken to prove once again before the worldhow Bangladeshis are passionate about football. In the attempt to make a world record, football enthusiasts from all across the country uploaded their photos to the website of ‘World Kapano Fans’,from 9:00pm, December 16 till 9:00pm, December 18.Huge number of football fans participatedin the campaign as per the guidelines of the Guinness authority. After long scrutiny, the authority recently recognised the world record by Bangladeshi football fans.

 

Previously, the world record was set by fans of America’s National Football League (NFL)by posting 5,297 photos to the online photo album wearing jersey of their favouriteteams.
