DIU Health and Fitness Club in collaboration with Physical Education and Sports Science Department of Daffodil International University organized “DIU Mini Marathon 2024” on Wednesday (February 28) for the 3rd time at Daffodil Smart City in the capital. A total of 250 registered students participated in this Mini- Marathon of which 230 were male student and 20 were female student. Sathil Reza Shuvo- student of Computer Science and Engineering Department won the First position while Md. Shamim Hossain- student of Physical Education and Sports Science Department and Touhid Hassan of the same department won 3rd position among the male students in the Mini Marathon. On the other hand, among the female students Nurunnahar of Physical Education and Sports Science Department won the first position while Oishi Salwa of Software Engineering Department wong the second position and Zahin Mumtaha Khan of Computer Science and Engineering Department won the third position in the Mini Marathon. Partners of the Mini- Marathon were Pran Group, Nestle Bangladesh and e-Bonik Barta.
Professor Dr. M Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest at the award giving ceremony and distributed prizes among the winners. The function was also attended by Professor Dr. Sheikh Md. Allaiyear, Proctor, Major (Rtd.) Md. Shah Alam, Director, Safety and Security, Monjur Hossain, Head of Business Development and Branding, Dr. Tanvir Abir, Moderator, DIU Health and Fitness Club, Mr. Kazi Diljeb Kabir, Deputy Director (Administration), Physical Instructor Md. Rakib Khan and Saad Andalib Joy, Assistant Director of the university.
