Esports set to host D1 Cup Bangladesh 2022

Esports in collaboration with Discovery One Ltd. is set to host the D1 Cup Bangladesh 2022 (Esports Championship) later this month with a massive prizepool of Tk 4,050,000 (Forty lacs and fifty thousand), a press release said Sunday.

The announcement was made at a ceremony in the city on June 11, 2022.

Prottoy Hossain CEO of Dekko ISHO Venture Capital, Md. Masudur Rahman COO of Dekko ISHO Venture Capital; Shadab Hossain CEO, Paramount Venture Capital; Md. Aliur Rahman Sohan, CEO, Level 7 Solutions Limited & Zenitic E-sports were present at the event.

The organizers expressed their views on e-sports gaming at the event. The purpose of this event is to set a milestone for e-sports in Bangladesh and to accelerate the progress of the country in this sector. This event will aim to establish a milestone for e-sports in Bangladesh and boost our country’s trajectory in this sector.

This event is set to be the largest LAN tournament in the history of Bangladesh. It will feature three popular e-sports like DOTA 2, Valorant, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). While the former two are computer-based games, MLBB is a mobile game.

The massive prize pool of Tk 40,50,000 will be divided into three games. Besides the prize money, every awardee team and player will also be awarded with trophies and other striking prizes.

The registration phase and qualifying rounds of this event will be held online.

Players were allowed to register for this tournament from 11th June to 12th June, 2022.

The online qualifiers will be held from 14th June onwards. The Grand Finale will be held in the last week of July 2022 at an offline venue.
