Everest Pharma Mini School Handball tournament (boys and girls) has begun from Friday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city, said a press release.
Everest Pharmaceutical Limited’s managing director Zakir Hossain formally opened the four-day meet as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor and Everest Pharmaceutical Limited’s director and tournament committee’s chairman Mohammad Mojnu Mollah, were among others, also present in the opening ceremony.
On the first day’s boys’ section matches, Sunnydale beat Nirjhor Cantonment Public School & College by 5-3 goals, Narinda Govt. High School defeated Kodomtota Purbo Basabo School & College by 6-2 goals, Model Academy outplayed Dhanmondi Tutorial by 10-0 goals, South Bridge School outclassed Khaled Haider Memorial High School by 12-0 goals, Ideal School, Motijheel overpowered Cambrian School & College by 8-2 goals, Wills Little Flower School beat Ideal School , Mugda by 2-0 goals, South Point School defeated Motijheel Govt. Boys High School by 6-3 goals, Model Academy beat Saint Gregory School by 5-4 goals and BAF Shaheen College outplayed Dhanmondi Tutorial by 6-0 goals.
In the day’s girls’ section matches, Sunnydale beat Ideal School, Banasree by 9-1 goals, Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls College defeated Cambrian School and College by 9-0 goals, Viqarunnisa Noon School & College thrashed Wills Little Flowers School & College by 18-1 goals, BAF Shaheen College defeated Sher Bangla Girls College by 9-8 goals, Kodomtota Purbo Basabo School & College drubbed Cambrian School & College by 7-0 goals and Ideal School Motijheel played out to a 1-1 goal draw with Ideal School , Banashree
