Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz is targeting to play as a team to seal the second straight ODI series as they take on Sri Lanka in the series-deciding third ODI.
The match will kick off at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram at 10:00 am on Monday. It will be aired on T Sports and GTV.
The series is equal at 1-1 as both teams secured the win in the previous two games.
“We’ll try our best to win the series. Like we always said, we have to play as a unit. When we play as a team, our chance to win any match is increased significantly,” Mehidy said at a pre-match press conference ahead of the last game.
Bangladesh made a change in their squad by dropping Liton Das for the third ODI after his consecutive two ducks in the series. Middle-order batter Jaker Ali Anik came into his place, which means Bangladesh are pondering several options for the series-deciding game.
Besides, pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib was ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury. He was replaced by another pacer Hasan Mahmud.
Sri Lanka also have an injury concern with pacer bowler Dilshan Madushanka being ruled out of the remainder of the Bangladesh tour due to a hamstring injury.
